Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 June 2026
About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Independent Living Support website and service ("we", "us", "our"). By using our website, submitting an enquiry form or speaking with our team, you agree to these Terms.
Our service
Independent Living Support is an independent service that helps older adults and their families identify government benefits, grants and private funding they may be entitled to. We are not affiliated with the DWP or any government body.
We provide information and guidance. Final decisions on eligibility and awards are made by the relevant authority or provider, not by us. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, award amount, or approval.
Fees
We work on a no-win, no-fee basis for Attendance Allowance applications. If your claim is not approved, you do not owe us anything.
If your claim is approved, the DWP usually sends a backdated payment from the date your application was submitted. Once that backdated payment is received, our one-off fee of £250 is payable. You only pay us once the DWP has paid you.
Your initial eligibility chat is free and you are under no obligation to continue.
Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information about yourself or the person you are enquiring on behalf of.
- Have authority to share any third party's information you provide.
- Use our service for lawful purposes only.
- Not misuse, copy, or attempt to disrupt our website.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our service. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
